Rates, Fees, and Payment Options
Concerning grants: As a professional grant writer I do not accept contingency fees. I lose control of the grant or proposal once it’s in the funder’s hands, and there are a number of reasons why grants and proposals aren’t funded. Therefore, please do not suggest I pay myself from an awarded grant. If your nonprofit does not have money reserved in its annual budget for a fundraiser and/or grant writer, contact me so I can help with strategic planning so that you can afford outside help.
Concerning pricing for copywriting, grant research, strategic planning, completing the IRS Form 1023, and nonprofit formation: I will first need to hear about your project and your specific needs and budget constraints. Then we’ll negotiate from there. Most of my fees are based on billable hours but I can provide a flat rate fee if that would be beneficial.
Not to be evasive on the subject, but I need to configure the size of the project and other factors. Everyone’s different, every project is different and every budget is different. The customer pays for my expertise and time—including research, writing, and additional consultation after I get to know the organization. I use project-tracking software to keep accurate billing of my time so the customer is not overcharged.
Please contact me so I can help you, your business, or your nonprofit.
